Local Land Charges have informed us of their planned migration to the new Building Control System, Monday 19th October 2026 to Wednesday 4th November 2026. Searches submitted after 5pm on Monday 19th October 2026, will not be accepted until Wednesday 4th November 2026 and no searches will be returned during the system downtime.
Update 8/10/2026
Following on from our notification sent on Monday 21st September 2026, we have informed by Local Land Charges that the planned migration to the new Building Control System, has been delayed until Tuesday 3rd November 2026 to Monday 9th November 2026. Searches submitted after 5pm on Monday 2nd November 2026, will not be accepted until Monday 9th November 2026 and no searches will be returned during the system downtime.

The oldest outstanding search is from Monday 5th October 2026 in which Local Land Charges are aiming to return this prior to the downtime.
Searches submitted from Monday 9th November 2026 onwards will be returned within 25 working days.

What we can offer is to provide a search delayed indemnity policy. If you would like to proceed with this option, then please send us the limit of indemnity so we can provide you with an accurate quote. Otherwise, we will keep chasing the Local Authority and have the completed search back with you as soon as possible.
