Reason:

• Local Land Charges have advised that they will be on annual leave from Wednesday 19th August 2026 to Tuesday 1st September 2026. As there will be no cover available during most of this period, search processing and returning will be affected.
• The officer will be back in the office on Tuesday 25th August 2026 and Wednesday 26th August 2026 and may be able to process a limited number of searches during those two days. However, this cannot be guaranteed, and delays should still be expected.

Expected Delay:

• Local Land Charges have increased their turnaround time from 20 to 25 working days to account for the downtime.

Options:

• What we can offer is to provide a search delayed indemnity policy. If you would like to proceed with this option, then please send us the limit of indemnity so we can provide you with an accurate quote. Otherwise, we will keep chasing the Local Authority and have the completed search back with you as soon as possible.
