This Article describes how to record and assign Time using Time Sheets within Insight Legal
Follow the steps below to record time using the time sheet:
- Open the time by opening the Cases tab and clicking on the Time Sheet icon in Time Recording tab
All the time recording that is yet to be committed to a matter is shown here. It is completely amendable on this screen and can be discarded. |
- Click Add New Entry to add a time recording box to this screen
- By selecting a time entry and then clicking New From Last, a new time box will open with the same Fee Earner, Date and Time, Matter and Charge Rate.
- Only the Activity, Units, Minutes and Value need to be chosen
- Click Commit or Discard to process the time.
- Clicking Save All will save any changes made to the time recordings
- Clicking Save and Close All will commit all time entries on the time sheet to the relevant matters
Once a Time Recording has been discarded, it cannot be retrieved. |

- Once a Time Recording has been committed, it will be available on the Matter to Bill or can be edited in Time Recording Maintenance
- The Sheet Summary is a total of all time and value on the time sheet
Editing Time Recording Entries

Click Cases, and select Time Recording Maintenance from the Time Recording column
- The Time Recording Maintenance screen will open
- Select the Dates, Fee Earner, Matter

Click Load Entries, and the Time Recording Entry will appear.
- After updating the Time Recording Entry, click Save

If more than one time recording has been edited, click Save All on the ribbon |
