This article describes how to Amend or Delete time entries within Insight Legal.
Time Recording Maintenance
Once time entries have been committed to a matter, they can be edited in Time Recording Maintenance. Time entries cannot be amended or deleted after you have billed them.
This can be reached in two ways
- Go to Cases > Time Recording Maintenance in the Cases tab
- Or alternatively when in a Matter on 'Case Enquiry select Direct Links > Time Recording Maintenance
- This method will automatically populate the Matter Details in the Time Recording Maintenance filters.
Filter
- Use the Filter in the ribbon at the top to search for the time entry to amend or delete
- The dates can be selected in the drop downs
- Fee Earners can be chosen from the drop down list
- The Matter can be looked up by typing in the 'Matter' box.
- Click on Lookup to open a matter lookup screen to help search for the matter if needed
- Be as specific as possible when choosing these fields to reduce load times
- To clear fields select the field and press Esc
Load Entries
- Click Load Entries to display all the time recordings that you have filtered
- Any of the areas of the time recording can be edited
- Before editing, if Enable Auto Calculation is selected, as the details change, the Value will change with respect to those details
- Once editing has finished left, click Save (the 'Save' button will only be available if you have edited the time recording)
- If more than one time recording has been edited left, click Save All on the ribbon
- To delete an entry, click Delete
A warning will appear when editing a time entry that has been included in a Bill Request
**Once a Time Recording has been deleted, it cannot be retrieved, and the time must be reinput into the system**
