This article explains how to reactivate Tasks and restart Workflows in Insight™ Legal.
When progressing through the workflow, there may be instances where you need to reactivate a task as the wrong selection was made, and subsequent tasks that need to appear have not. This is where reactivating a task will enable you to correct a selection mistake. Any data entry mistakes or attaching the incorrect file can be corrected outside of the workflow. Reactivating a task should only be used where an incorrect pathway of work has been selected.
Reactivating Tasks
To reactivate a task, go into the Completed Tasks tab within Case Enquiry. Any task that has been completed or dismissed as part of the workflow will be stored there.
Click on the drop-down within the task you want to reactivate, and this will display the list of Tasks that have been created either directly or indirectly after completing the Task.
Tick any Tasks you wish to delete from the workflow as active or completed tasks.
| Any tasks that could spawn from your reactivation will be duplicated if they are not selected for removal. |
Any Capture User Data tasks will retain the data that was entered, but will need to be saved again if the task is subsequently respawned after reactivating a previous task. Any documents created or attached will still be present in the Matter Files tab, so if you are asked to perform the task again, this will duplicate the record. The task can be dismissed to continue on with the workflow, without replicating the task.
Restarting a workflow should be a last resort if many errors have occurred and there is no alternative to resolve the issue. As with reactivating a task, any documents created or attached will still be present in the Matter Files tab, and any Capture User Data tasks will retain the data that was entered.
Restarting Workflows
To Restart a Workflow, click on the dropdown in the top right-hand corner of the Tasks ta and click Restart Workflow.
You will be asked to confirm if you are sure you want to perform this action, click Yes to confirm and you will be navigated back to the beginning of the workflow.
