This article explores Posting Requests within Insight Legal.
Insight has the ability for electronic requests (i.e., Cheques, payments, receipts). These can be requested by users on the system and appear under the Requests on the accounts side.
From the Case Enquiry Screen, open the case you want to make a request on. Click on the Posting Request icon along the top.
You will then need to choose which bank to use for the posting. If the Client account has no funds, the Office Disbursement should be used.
Fill in the details for the request, and click Submit.
Insight will produce a Posting Request that can be printed and retained in the client file. A request has now been sent to the accounts user. The request will appear on the ledger card in green.
To process electronic requests, you must have access to the Accounts > Requests.
There are diffrent types of Requests, above you can see six.
Approval Workflow
To enable the approval workflow, navigate to Systems Settings, under the Posting Requests tab, and tick Enable Posting Requests Approval to enable the workflow.
Statuses
If the setting is enabled, the Posting Request has the following 4 statuses:
i. Requested
ii. Approved
iii. Processed
iv. Declined
Updating Posting Requests
There are two ways to Update a Posting Request:
1. By double-clicking the Posting Request, making amendments, and clicking the Submit button.
2. Right-click on a Posting Request and select Edit Request, make changes, and Save.
The report generated will highlight changes made.
