This article explains how to create a Case in Unity® Practice Management.
Create a new Case from the Case Dashboard Screen
To create a Case, follow the steps below:
- Click on the Clients & Cases icon, and select Case Dashboard

On the Cash Dashboard screen, click New, and select New Case

Search for a client. After you find the client, click Next
- Enter the Case Description
- Select the Branch, Fee Earner, and Partner
- Select the Case Type

Enter the following dates:
- Date Opened
- Review Date
- Case Plan Date
- Cause of Action Date
- Limitation Date
- Select the Funding and Financial details
- Enter the User Defined Fields

Once done, click Save and Finish
Create a New Case When Hooked onto a Case
- Select your Case from the Case Dashboard

From the Case Summary screen, click New, and select New Case

Enter the following details:
- Case Description
- Branch, Fee Earner, and Partner
- Case Type
- Date Opened
- Review Date
- Case Plan Date
- Cause of Action Date
- Limitation Date
- Funding and Financial details
- User-Defined Fields
- Once done, click Save and Finish
| If you would like to perform a conflict search, click Launch Conflict Search |
After creating your Case, you will receive a confirmation. Click Finish to complete the creation of your Case.
