This article explains how to view a Client Ledger through Unity® PMS Accounts platform.
To Filter and Search for a Client Ledger
- To start, let’s head to Ledgers
Under Accounts/Time tab and using the Search In field’s drop-down menu, select how you’d like to filter and search for your client
You can set whether to search for the:
- Client Name
- Start of Name
- Code
- UFN
- Matter Description
- Next, type in the client number on the For field
- Once done, click Find
- For client with Closed Matter, tick the Archived Matters checkbox before clicking the Find button
- Now, you can click the client on the list, in order to view their Accounts Ledger Card
Accounts Ledger Card
At the top of the page, you’ll be able to see the Client Details and Client Accounts information
Client Details (left-hand side)
- Matter Code
- Client
- Description
- Case Type
Client Accounts information (right-hand side)
- Unbilled Disbursements – You have the option to click the three dots or more options icon to view the outstanding disbursements
- Unpaid Bills - You have the option to click the three dots or more options icon to view any outstanding unpaid bills
- Fee Earner
- LA Code
- Office
- Client
- Deposit
- Start Balance
To View the Accounts Ledger Card Tabs
There are various tabs that can be viewed under the Accounts Ledger Card:
- Office – This displays the break-down version of each client office transactions
- Client
- Deposit
- Client/Office
- Outstanding Disbursements
- Related Matters
E-Chits tabs – This provides a list E-Chits from your fee earner or any support-related matters.
The following available E-Chit tabs are:
- Office
- Client
- Deposit
To Print the Ledger
- Head to File tab
- Click Print
To Post Using the Accounts Ledger
You can also Post directly using the accounts ledger card by:
- Head to Posting tab
- Create Postings by selecting:
- Client
- Deposit
- Nominal
- Office
