This article explains how to post a Purchase Ledger Disbursement Credit Note within Unity® Practice Management.

To Post a Disbursement Credit Note:
1. Go to Posting, then select Purchase Ledger, and click Disbursement Credit Note.
2. Choose the supplier, then enter the credit note number and select the invoice date.
3. Click into the Net field and enter the client or matter number.
4. Add a reference. This could be the credit note number or the original invoice number.
| Note: The narrative will be pre-populated, but you can amend it if needed. |
5. Enter the amount and ensure that the correct Vat Code is selected. Then the VAT will automatically populate.
6. If the disbursement has already been billed, tick the relevant box.
7. Once complete, click OK, then update or add a narrative if required.
8. Review the details and click Post to finalize the transaction.
9. If the invoice number has already been used, you will be prompted to confirm:
- Select Yes to continue
- Select No to make changes
Once confirmed, the disbursement credit note will be successfully posted in the Purchase Ledger.
