This article describes how to set up and reset passwords for the Accounts section of Unity Practice Management
New user Password creation
When you have a new user you must complete and submit a Request for Additional Users form to support . The form is attached at the bottom of this article
Request the username and renewal/expiry conditions and email support-cms-uk-u@dyedurham.com
Passwords must be:
- At least 8 Characters long
- At least one Upper and One Lower case
- Must have a Symbol
- Must NOT contain parts of the users name
You will receive an email with instructions:

Follow instructions to https://gateway.quill-interactive.co.uk,
- Enter the username and temporary password.
- You will see a message "your password has expired please click here"
- Select Click here

Once signed in click the QuillGuard icon and a file will be downloaded "cpub-QuillGuard-Tenant_1-CmsRdsh.rdp".

Run the download

Login to QuillGuard from the icon on your desktop using your quill-interactive credentials

A Unity screen will load and request login, use your Unity Practice Management login details here.
- Select Accounts
Experiencing a Password Issue? Here’s What to Do
If you’re seeing an error message (such as “Accounts password expired - The login attempt failed”) , it’s likely that your password has expired. At Dye & Durham, the default expiry for new Unity Practice Management Accounts passwords to expire is every 1,000 days.
How to Reset Your Password
- Go to Quill Accounts Login.
- Enter your username ([forename].[surname]@ad.quill-interactive.co.uk) and your current password.
- If your password has expired, you’ll see a message saying, “Your password has expired, please click here.”
- Click the link to reset your password.
