This article shows how to add a custom Document Register types within Insight
Step 1: System Settings
Click on System > Settings > Period and Years
Step 2: Add Year
Click on "Add" in the Settings section. Click "Save" once the new year has been added.
Step 3: Lock & Unlock Periods
- Click on a "Year" and then select a "Period"
- Within the "Period Details" you can then tick the box to either "Lock / Unlock Postings" and "Time Recordings" for a particular period
- Posting Locked: When this is selected it prevents users from posting financial entries such as bills and disbursements for a particular period.
- Time Locked: This prevents users from time recording for a particular period.
Once you have completed your set up, remember to click "Save".
