This article describes how to add Time Recording Rates and Activities within Insight
Setting up Number of Units Per Hour
- Select System > Staff and Fee Earners
- Within 'Lookup' section, click to select a Fee Earner
- Within the 'Fee Earner' section, enter the number of units per hour (10 = 10 x 6 min Units per hour
- Set an amount in the 'Cost Per Unit' section
- Select Save
- Repeat this process for all other Fee Earners
Setting up Charge Rates
- Navigate to System>Settings
- Scroll down to Time Recording and expand the options
- Select 'Charge Rates'
- Any existing charge rates will be visible
- Select Add
- Enter Charge Rate Detail
- Enter a Code, the code must be unique
- Enter a Description
These details can be amended at a later date
Select Save in the top left of the toolbar
Setting up Activities
- Within System Settings, expand Time Recording, then select Activities
- Select Add
- Within 'Details', enter a unique code and a description of the activity
- Tick Item if applicable
Activities can be an Item rate or charged by the unit.
An Item rate would typically be for activities such as “Letter in” or “Letter out”, “Email in”, or “Email out”. The Time Recording report will show whether a time recording entry was an Item or not.
