This guide will assist users in understanding and customising the Case Summary page on Unity® Practice Management.
The Case Summary section shows all details recorded for the client.
Case Summary
To access Case Summary, hover over the Clients & Cases Tab and click on Case Summary.
Unpaid Bills Warning
If there are bills outstanding over all the client cases, then a warning will be displayed.
Edit Client
The Edit option will allow you to edit the client type, client name, credit control status, add notes, and amend the user-defined fields.
Client Type
There are 4 different client types:
- Company
- Group
- Parent Company
- Single
This field shows the client type of this particular client.
Address Book
This the main address that has been allocated to the client, this can be edited in the ‘Address Book'.
Contact
Multiple contact numbers can be entered on the database, the number that is entered first will appear on the Client Summary screen. Contact numbers can be edited on the Phone Numbers screen.
Email 1 & Email 2
The email addresses can be edited on the Client Contacts screen. If you click on the email address hyperlink, a new email message will open, and the email address will already be populated. The primary contact is starred.
DOB
This is the date of birth of the main contact. The date of birth can be edited on the Client Contacts screen.
Nationality
This can be edited on the Client Contacts screen.
Marital Status
This legal aid field, but if completed will also show on private matters. The marital status can be edited on the Client Contacts screen.
Client User Defined Field
There are 4 User Defined Fields that can be attached to the client details, these fields are unique to each Practice and can be set up in Accounts by your cashier.
In the example given, we have used DX, Address line 2, Address line 3 and Address line 4, but as above, they can be specified per Practice to hold further information regarding the client, such as Risk Factor.
Proof of Identity Recorded
To see the ID that is recorded, select View Identities and it will take you to the Proof of Identity screen. Here further ID can be added, and existing ID can be edited.
Customise Client Details
There is client information that is held on the database, which is available by selecting other sections of the cases toolbar.
- Address Book
- Phone Numbers
- Identities
- Deeds
- Wills
There is also an Indicator that shows that these fields have data attached.
ID Checks
If you subscribe to the Quill AML service then the results of any searches you do will be recorded here, there are 3 types of result:
- Passed
- Failed
- Pending
