This article explains the features in the Timeline area of Unity® Practice Management.
Overview
Timeline is a feature within the Organiser section of Unity Practice Management. It shows all of the milestones connected to a case in date order.
To view Timeline on a case, click on Organiser and select Timeline from the dropdown. It will be greyed out unless you are connected to a case.
This will show all of the Milestones linked to the case:
- Milestones that have had all their tasks completed will show with a green tick
- Milestones that have passed the target date but have not yet had all their tasks completed show with a triangle
- Milestones that have not reached their target date will show with a flag
- You can collapse or expand completed milestones to hide or see more detail
- You can sort your milestones in ascending or descending order
- To add a new milestone, click the New Milestone button
Incomplete milestones will show the number of tasks assigned to them and how many have been completed so far:
To view a milestone in more detail, click it to open the milestone window:
The milestones window shows you details of when it's due, any reminders set and all tasks and events allocated to it
- Clicking Manage Reminders at the top right lets you add further reminders to the milestone
- Clicking Edit Milestone lets you make changes to the milestone. You can move the milestone date on from here if the original date set isn't realistic.
- You can assign tasks to other users, Edit or Delete your tasks
- You can complete the tasks in here by clicking the Completed radio button. Completed tasks will show as being crossed out
- Add a new task or event to this milestone
- Link a task or an event that has been created on the case to this milestone
To return to a cross-case view of Organiser, click the cross on the blue case bar at the top right of the screen. This will un-hook you from your case and return you to your overall Organiser views for all cases.
