This article describes clients with no proof of ID and how to resolve that within Unity® Practice Management.
Overview
The Contacts with No Proof of ID report will assist you in identifying clients who do not have any form of ID recorded.
If you are using our legacy interactive system, please scroll down to find the steps to run the report in interactive.
- Select ‘Reports’ on the toolbar on the left

There are several ways to access the Contact with No Proof of ID report:
- Start typing the name of the report required in the search box, IE, "Contact" to filter reports
- Select Client and Contacts from the drop-down list to view all reports in this category

Select the star next to the report to make it a favourite if it is required often.
The report will then show in the favourites section of side toolbar. - Select ‘Contact with No Proof of ID’ link to open the report.
Date Range
The date range will automatically default to show all clients with no proof of ID recorded, but this can be changed to show a specific date range. Just enter the dates required.
Select to input a date using the calendar.
Fee Earner
Fee earner will automatically default to ‘All’, select a fee earner from the dropdown list to see a list of clients by a specific fee earner.
Primary and Secondary Ordering
The default order of this report is by Client name, it can be changed using the Primary and Secondary ordering, for example if the Primary order was changed to ‘FE Name’ the order that the information is presented would change to show FE name followed by Client Name.
Report Options
Options enable the user to filter the information on the report so that only the required information is presented on the final version, they are:
- Client Type
- Customise Columns
- Main Options (shown by default)
- Templates
Client Type
The client types listed on the right-hand side of the screen will appear on the report, any listed on the left-hand side will not.
Use the arrows in the centre of the screen to move client types from left to right and vice versa.
Select the double arrows to move all the client types listed and then highlight a single client type and select a single arrow to move one client type to the left or right screen.
Customise Columns
All the Interactive Cloud reports are set up with standard default information the ‘customise columns’ option allows the user to customise reports to their own specification.
The data fields listed on the right of the screen will appear on the report. To remove a field so it doesn’t appear on the report, highlight the field, IE: Telephone and select the single arrow pointing to the left.
To add a field to the report from the left screen, highlight the field IE: FE initials and select the single arrow pointing right.
All arrow options to move fields to and from report are located in the centre panel of the screen.
Templates
If the data selected for this report is required regularly then it is easy to set up a template and make the information easier to access.
- Select the Information required on the Clients with no proof of identity report template using the options in customise columns.
- Once the columns are customised select ‘Templates’ from the drop-down menu.
- Name the template.
- There is also a space to add notes, but this is optional.
- Once the template has a name, select ‘Submit’.
