This article explains how to view Associated Cases in Unity® Practice Management.
How to Access Associated Cases
You can view Associated Cases when you are hooked into a Case. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Click View Summary on your Case’s Financial Panel at the top of your screen.
- Once the Financial Panel is open, click Associated Cases.
- A window will appear with Associated Cases listed.
Viewing the Associated Case’s Details
From the Associated Cases window, you will see the following details
- Matter Status
- Case Display Code
- Date opened
- Fee Earner
When you click on the Case, you will be navigated to the Case Summary page, where you can either edit the Case, add a new Matter, or Archive the Case.
Matter Status
You can change Matter Status from Live to Archived. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Click Archive from the top menu bar, and you will be navigated to the Archive page.
- Enter Archive Details and click Submit.
New Matter
A new Matter can be opened from Associated Cases. To do this, Click on the Associated Case, and you will be navigated to the Case Summary page. To add a new Case, follow the steps below:
- Click on the New.
- Select New Case from the options.
- Enter Case Details and click Save and Continue.
Case Actions
To edit Case Details, follow these steps:
- Click on the Associated Case.
- Update the Case Details as required.
- Click Submit.
