This article describes updates for Legal Aid users with Unity® Practice Management
We’re pleased to announce that we have completed the updates to Unity® Practice Management to support the new LAA Fee Codes and XML export requirements — ahead of the official go-live date of 10 November.
What this means for you:
- Our XML submission format now includes the new Fee Codes, ensuring full compatibility with the upcoming CWA system.
- As we’re ahead of schedule, you can start reviewing your claim exports now to familiarise yourself with the updated format and any discrepancies in Claims/Data.
- We recommend checking a few sample exports before 10 November to confirm everything appears as expected. If you spot anything unusual, please get in touch — our support team will be happy to help ensure you are ready for submissions on the go-live date.
- Please note if you are a criminal practice with a claim containing a stage reached code of 'PROV', 'PRIB','PRIC','PRID','PRIE','PROJ' - Then you may need to recreate these claims if the higher fee cannot be determined. As always our support team will be on hand to assist you.
We remain in close contact with the LAA and Ministry of Justice and will continue to share any further updates or guidance as the launch date approaches.
