This article shows how to protect your privacy on Companies House
If you’re concerned about your details on the public record, you can apply to remove sensitive, personal details from the public Companies House register using the SR01 form.
Whether you're a director, shareholder, or PSC, the SR01 allows you to request the removal of:
- Your home address
- Your signature
- The day from your date of birth
- Your business occupation
This is an important measure for individuals who are mindful of their personal security, particularly if their details appear in public filings such as incorporation documents or director appointments. You’ll need to know which documents contain your personal details.
The process is simple and straightforward:
- Identify the documents containing your personal details from the filing history.
- Pay £30 per document online to obtain a payment reference.
- Submit your completed SR01 form and the payment reference to Companies House (email is the quickest method).
