This article details how to set up the Insight™ Legal Mobile App.
To use the mobile application function on Insight™, our internal team needs to first configure it and enable its use.
The user who wishes to give you the mobile app should have the mobile application box ticked under Staff Maintenance. To check if the mobile app has been enabled, follow the steps below:
- Go to Staff and Fee Earner Maintenance.
- Select the user who is going to be using the mobile app
- Under Permissions on the
right-hand side, select Administration, tick the Mobile Application checkbox.
After configuration, you will need to restart the Insight™ Legal software. Once this has been configured, you will need to install the app as follows:
- Firstly, download the Insight™ Legal App onto your mobile phone.
- Once downloaded, you can log in using Microsoft, Google, or Facebook.
Linking Account to Insight
Step 1:
- Open Insight™ Legal on your computer.
- Log in.
Step 2:
- Open the File Menu, and select Your Details.
- Click on Manage Mobile Devices.
Step 3:
In this step you have to link your account via Insight™ Legal, click on the Link Account button.
Once you have clicked on Link Account you will be presented with a QR code, scan the code to link the mobile to the user for Insight™ Legal.
Each QR code is unique for that user you are linking the mobile app to and each QR code will last for 15minutes before you need to request a new one. |
Step 4:
The final step on the phone is to start scanning the QR code that is displayed on your computer screen.
Once the mobile device is connected, you will be prompted with a screen to notify you that the device is enabled, this will also show you the account you have signed in with for the app. You should be able to view the Case Enquiry along with Time Sheet on your phone once the device has been enabled.
Once you have signed into the mobile app, it will prompt you to sign in again after 90 days of inactivity. |
