Add an Undertaking
- Go to 'Case Enquiry' and look up a Matter

Click on the Undertakings tab in the bottom window

Right Click in the Undertaking window and then click 'Add'

Enter the date of the Undertaking and select Fee Earner

Select Undertaking Type from the drop-down list

Enter the Description of the Undertaking

Click on the 'Given' box if this is an Undertaking you are giving to another party.

Leave empty if it is an Undertaking you have received

Add any notes if required

Click 'Save'
**If you select a Financial Undertaking Type, you will also see a box for the Amount of the Undertaking. This is a required field**
Update an Undertaking

Go to 'Case Enquiry' and look up a Matter

Click on the Undertakings tab in the bottom window
- Right Click on the Undertaking and select 'Update'
- Add the date of the update
- Enter the details of the update in the 'Notes' section
- Click 'Save'
Discharge an Undertaking

Go to 'Case Enquiry' and look up Matter
- Click on the 'Undertakings' tab in the bottom window
- Right click on Undertaking and select 'Discharge'
- Enter the date of Discharge
- Enter notes about the Discharge of the Undertaking
- Click 'Discharge'
