This article explains how to access and review the Accounts Ledger from within a matter in the Unity® Practice Management.

To Access the Accounts Ledger:
- From the Case Summary screen, look at the blue banner at the top and click View Summary on the right-hand side

From here, you will see an overview of the ledgers, including:
- Office Ledger
- Client Ledger
- Deposit Ledger
- To open the full Accounts Ledger report, click the Accounts Ledger button. This will take you directly to the detailed Ledger report screen
- On the left-hand side, tick any options you would like the report to include

Next to the preview option, choose how you would like to access the report:
- View – Opens the report on screen
- Print and Save – Downloads or prints a copy
- Open in Excel – Exports the report into Excel
- If you leave it on View and click Report, the Ledger will open on screen
- At the top-left side of the report, you will see the client and matter details, and on the far-right side you will find the financial summary information
- Under the heading for the current matter, you will see financial details specific to that case. If the same client has other matters open, their financial information will appear under Other Matters

Within the Ledger Card section, you will see transaction details such as:
- Date
- Narrative
- Bank or branch
- Transaction type
- You will also see separate columns for Office, Client, and Deposit, with running totals displayed across the bottom
- Under Unbilled Disbursements, you will see whether the cost relates to the client or office, along with the date, narrative, and total amount
