This article describes how to add and edit VAT Rates in Unity® Practice Management.
How to Access this Option
- Open the Accounts program.
- Click the Maintenance icon.
- Double-click the VAT Rate option.
How to Add a VAT Rate
- Click Insert, and a new blank record will appear.
- Enter a VAT Code.
- Select a Date. This date dictates when the new code will become available within the system.
- Enter a Rate.
- Remove the tick from the In Use checkbox if you do not want the new code to be made available for selection within the system.
- Tick the Default IN checkbox if you wish to make the new code the default VAT Input Code.
- Tick the Default OUT checkbox if you wish to make the new code the default VAT Output Code.
- Click Save.
How to Edit a VAT Rate
- Click on the VAT Rate from the list.
- The information for the selected VAT Rate will be displayed in the Details section, and any field can be edited.
- Once you have edited the VAT Rate Details, click Save.
