Using the Property Searches Integration
Before attempting to setup the integration in Insight you must be registered for a Unity® Global Platform account
To do this Email: sales-cms-uk@dyedurham.com.
Setting up the integration
Once the Unity® Global Platform account has been setup, the External Service can be setup in Insight.
- Go to System>Settings>External Services
- Right-click ‘Add Unity® Global Platform Account’
- Set the Environment to Live and decide whether to Enable Posting Requests
- Then, click Link Account.
NOTE: The ‘Enable Posting Requests’ setting can be changed at a later date in this screen as required
You will receive a confirmation once your firm has been linked to Unity® Global Platform and be prompted to log in using your Unity® Global Platform account details. This will link your individual account and allow Property Search orders to be created
You will receive further confirmation once this has been completed.
Setting up the Property Search action
The ‘Order Dye & Durham Property Search’ action type can be setup to fit within your firm’s workflows as required.
This can be as an adhoc task or triggered by other tasks within the workflow.
- Name and Notes fields will be available to complete.
- The Auto Complete option launches the Create Property Search Order as soon as the action is triggered
- You will also need to map the relevant Address UDF in the Property Search Options section.
Ordering Property Searches
When the Create Property Search Order screen is launched via the workflow, you will need to follow through the steps in each page to select the relevant address, add the correct searches to the order and place the order.
If the user has not yet logged into Unity® Global Platform via Insight they will be prompted to log in before they are redirected to this order screen.
The details of this order will appear in the Property Searches tab of Case Enquiry after a short delay.
Each order row can be expanded to show the searches included within the order. As the searches are completed, each row will update and an Open File button will appear.
These files will automatically be saved to the Matter Files of this matter, and the name and location of these files should not be altered if you wish to be able to access them via the Property Searches tab.
After all searches have completed, the order will be marked as completed. The details of the order can be viewed in the Unity® Global Platform at any time by clicking the View Order button.
If an order is saved as a draft, you will be able to use the View Order button to finish placing the order.
Any changes or cancellations made to drafts should be done via the View Order button to ensure all details correctly pull through into Insight.
If the firm has chosen to Enable Posting Requests within the External Services setup, an Office Disbursement posting request will be created when a search is completed.
For search packs, this will only be created when all searches included in the pack have been completed.
