This article describes the features of Conveyancing Freehold cases within Unity Practice Management
Conveyancing Freehold cases are a way to create preconfigured cases that collect a few details which then pre-populate fields for a variety of appropriate forms to be used as needed, saving time and reducing duplication of work.
Create a Case
- Navigate to Clients & Cases and select a client, or use Search
- Click New and select New Freehold Conveyancing Case
- A sidebar will open, click the dropdown and select either Freehold Sale or Freehold Purchase
- On the first page, enter a case description, all other fields are not mandatory
- Click Next
- Enter details of the property, this can be by Search or Manually
- Details are used to pre-populate forms later so the more entered here the better
- Click Save And Continue
- The case will be generated and displayed
- Click Finish
The case will then show on the client dashboard, from here you can:
- View and Edit Property Details can be done from the case screen - completing more details is advised and will populate on forms when generated
- Generate forms for the case, provided are the three most common forms in this type of case but the data is linked here and be used for any form, not just the three linked for convenience.
- Clicking the folder icon takes you to recent forms
- Access Conveyancing Contacts where you can enter details for the Estate Agent, Other Party and Other Solicitor
