This article shows how to create a manual backup within Insight
Azure Based Backup
If your database is held in the cloud it will be automatically backed up throughout the day, which are kept on a 30-day rolling basis. You can also take a manual backup through Insight at any point in time if you wish to keep a local copy on your PC or Server
Manual Backup
- In the toolbar go to System > Backup
- Enter the Backup Name; it defaults to the database name and the date you are taking the backup
- Click Use Stored Credentials and change the backup destination to This Computer
- Click on Set to choose a folder to store the backup
- Click on Backup and allow the backup to run
Once complete, a pop-up will tell you the backup is finished, click OK
The backup file will be saved in the selected folder.
**Please note you will not be able to open this backup file. The backup will only take a copy of the data that has been input. This does not include matter files & templates**
